Came across this article in the New York Times, The 6th Floor: Words We Don’t Say by Hugo Lindgren. When he worked at New York Magazine, Kurt Anderson, the new editor at the time distributed a list of words and phrases that annoyed him and didn’t want published in his magazine. I would say I have to agree I’m not a fan of cliches. Seems to me like he isn’t a fan of not getting right to the point i.e. boast meaning “have”. Although this is subjective I would agree I’m not a fan of “celebs” and dislike when the media combines a couples name i.e. Brangelina.
My name is Ambriss, and I’m a Northern California girl living in a Southern California World. This is my personal website and blog. I'm currently seeking a marketing position so I can get back to my passion.
