Hello. My name is Ambriss R. Syravong formerly Ambriss Rembulat. I got married on May 24, 2014 to my high school sweetheart and that’s where my current story begins. After 10 years in Southern California, my husband and I relocated to the Bay Area to start anew.
By day I’m a Marketing Manager and by night I’m an aspiring creative and writer still trying to find my niche. This is where my blog comes in, a mixture of marketing, social media, writing and fun stuff.
A little more about me…
I moved to San Diego and studied Communications at UCSD in 2004. I started my career at SDSU and worked several jobs that led me to my current role at Robert Half. You can see more about my career by visiting the experience page. After eight years in San Diego, I moved to Pasadena with my boyfriend (now husband) to pursue our careers. In Pasadena I grew up, got out of my comfort zone and married my best friend/high school sweetheart. After two years, we decided that we wanted to be closer to our families in Sacramento so we relocated to the Bay Area and now this is our life. Currently living in San Jose and working in San Ramon.
Loves: my husband, Disneyland, my family, friends who have become family, food adventures, exploring new cities, trying new things, a good book, reminiscing about the good ole days of hip hop, cooking/trying new recipes, coffee (I have a slight Starbucks addiction), and decorating my place.
“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.” — Maya Angelou
Tidbits and randoms: lived in Las Vegas for one month the summer before college, oldest daughter of two, taught myself how to cook in college thanks to the plethora of recipes on the Internet, obsessed with planners (I currently use three – Ban.do Agenda, Spark Planner and Kikki.K Large), I’m obsessed with Disney and I’m an annual passholder, my favorite rapper is Nas, favorite hip-hop group is Wu Tang, but I’ll sing to everything even if I don’t like the song, terrible at makeup and hair even after watching YouTube videos, trying to Lean In, believes in building The American Dream (not living off of it), and obsessed with sushi, Poke and coffee.
