Pray for Africa, Belgium, Istanbul, Paris, Syria and the World. I hate to have to say this so often. My heart aches and my mind has anxiety for the world we live in. I know we have never been free of war and terrorism but lately it feels like it’s gone too far.

We were just in shock about Paris…but there has been so much terrorism happening in the World, much of it not heavily reported and often missed. I know I’m guilty of missing it.

My heart is so heavy for all who have been and are being affected by such heinous acts.

I think Gina Rodriguez said it well:

It’s not just Brussels my heart cries for its Ankara, it’s Istanbul, it’s Africa, it’s Paris, it’s Syria, the list is saddening and long. I pray for all of humanity. I pray for the lost, I pray for the families of the victims, I pray for the hearts that have distanced so far from what truly is Holy to believe hurting others is ok. And I wish I could do more than prayer, but that’s what I got. That’s what I hold on to in these times of hopelessness. Except in my prayers there is Hope. Hope for a better tomorrow, a better world filled with Peace and love and acceptance. A world void of senseless, ignorant and cowardly violence. That is the world I pray we see one day. And so I pray…
